Findings of the OX12 project postponed to the New Year

Date: 25 November 2019

Wantage

Health and care partners in Oxfordshire have been working together over the past 11 months to implement a new health and care framework to plan for future needs in the OX12 area, which covers Wantage, Grove and surrounding villages.

The outcome of this work was due to be published at the end of November 2019 for a meeting of the Oxfordshire Health and Wellbeing Board at the beginning of December. During the pre-election period it is usual practice that some restrictions are placed on communication activities of public bodies, civil servants and local government officials; this includes the NHS.

Given this, the current timeline for publishing the summary report of applying the health and care needs framework in OX12 and its outputs will be moved to January 2020. The Health and Wellbeing Board will meet on 30 January 2020 to accommodate, as soon as possible after the election, the publication of the summary report.

Jo Cogswell, Director of Transformation and Director lead for the OX12 project at Oxfordshire Clinical Commissioning Group, said: “We understand those involved with the OX12 project and the wider community will be disappointed that the outcome of the project will not be published until January 2020. However, some things are beyond our control. We thank everyone who has given up their time thus far to get involved with this project and to ensure the voice of the community is heard.”
