Connecting with nature in Mental Health Awareness Week (10/16 May) – lunchtime webinar

To mark the week a webinar is being held by Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust around the theme of Nature.

 

Virtual Health Matters: Connecting with Nature will start at 12.30pm on Wednesday, May 12. You can join via link  https://bit.ly/Health-Matters-Nature, and a recording will be made available on the Oxford Health YouTube site.

 

The webinar will be hosted by David Walker, Chair of Oxford Health.

 

John Upham, Compliance and Sustainability Manager at Oxford Health will talk about the benefits of biodiversity to physical and mental health and the steps Oxford Health is taking to ensure a greener future for the Trust and our communities.

 

Dr Catriona Mellor from Marlborough House Adolescent Unit will explain the significant role of nature in patients’ recovery at Marlborough House, Swindon, where Oxford Health works closely with the Families in the Wild initiative, run by Wiltshire Wildlife Trust.

 

Julie Pink, Head of Charity and Community Involvement, will describe Oxford Health Charity’s Green Spaces appeal, which allows staff and patients to enjoy a variety of peaceful and therapeutic green spaces across the Trust’s sites.

 

Participants will be able to post questions to the speakers.
