We have now received the IRP advice about the permanent closure of obstetric services at the Horton General Hospital.  We have been asked to undertake a joint piece of work with Oxfordshire Health Overview and Scrutiny Committee (HOSC) and we have contacted the HOSC Chairman to ensure an early discussion about how we will do this together.

We are holding the first of two Extraordinary Board Meetings to consider the results of the Big Health and Care Consultation on proposals to change some healthcare services in the county.

Several roadshow events have already taken place in Banbury, Wantage, Oxford, Wallingford, Bicester, Henley-on-Thames and Witney but we still need to hear from more people in the Abingdon area.

We are holding 12 consultation events as part of the 'The Big Health and Care Conversation' across the county, where you can talk to clinicians and NHS staff and share your views on our proposals to change some health services.

From June to October 2016, patients and the public are invited to be involved in the development of proposals to transform the way health and care is delivered in the county through a series of roadshows.
