COPD Under the Spotlight

The benefits of the Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) pilot which finished at the end of March, are now being assessed. The pilot was led by practice nurses from seven GP practices in the locality during the first three months of this year.

They identified local patients who would benefit from extra support managing their lung conditions, which included contacting them to ensure they had enough medication or if they needed to see their GP. The outcome of the evaluation will help OCCG to decide on the merits of rolling out the service across Oxfordshire.

Focus on Dermatology

25 GPs from each practice in the locality attended an education event in April on dermatology. Read the article here or visit the South West Locality page.
