OCCG’s Equality Objectives

Our Vision

In consultation with stakeholders across Oxfordshire, OCCG has used the Equality Delivery System (EDS2) to develop its Equality Objectives and vision for the years ahead. Our vision is to:

“To improve equality of access, experience and outcomes in healthcare for all groups in Oxfordshire”

 

OCCG’s Equality Objectives 2016-2020

  1. Provide inclusive leadership to ensure that NHS Oxfordshire CCG demonstrates a commitment to Equality & Diversity at a strategic and operational level

 

  1. Embed Equality & Diversity in mainstream processes through EDS2 and Equality Analysis

 

  1. Improve equity of access, quality of experience and outcomes for our population by embedding Equality and Diversity within all of our commissioning processes

 

  1. Improve access, quality of experience and outcomes for our population by involving and listening to patients from all protected characteristic groups and other vulnerable groups whose voices may be ‘seldom heard’

 

  1. Improve the capture and analysis of population, workforce and patient information broken down by protected characteristic.

 

  1. Ensure Equality & Diversity is embedded in NHS Oxfordshire CCG’s policies and processes to ensure a representative and supported workforce
